Gizmobaba.com, India’s only one-stop shop for the most innovative and world class gadgets and gizmos, has launched a new feature to provide more value to its customers. Gizmobaba’s customers can now choose Cash-on-Delivery (COD) as a mode of payment when buying their favorite gizmos. The service was commenced as a pilot on a few products in August 2014. Based on its success, Gizmobaba has now extended COD to all its customers across the entire product portfolio. The service is valid in over 400 cities and towns and in over 3400 pincodes across the country.
Commenting on this new initiative, Mr Alok Chawla, CEO, Gizmobaba.com said, “We believe in understanding and taking action to cater to our customers’ needs. We are constantly gauging their behavior and practices to be able to serve them better. Basis this, we have launched COD for all our products across all major cities.
We took some time to launch this service for multiple reasons. First of all, we wanted to provide the service to our customers seamlessly, without burdening them with the cost of the same. Secondly, we wanted to ensure that we keep the number of COD cancellations at bay and were able to absorb the cost of return without passing it on to other customers. By putting verification systems in place, we were able to keep COD returns to lower than 2%. Only after finding a solution, did we decide to implement the service at full scale.”
