ImageDigital Technology Leader, Samsung Electronics, has been awarded the prestigious Golden Peacock Award for Eco-innovation for its ultra-premium Notebook Series 9. The award was presented to the Company at an award ceremony held in the presence of business leaders and senior government officials on Saturday, June 25th, 2011 at New Delhi.

With its smart design and light weight, the Notebook Series 9 combines the best eco-friendly features with optimal mobile computing experience. Crafted from duralumin, a lightweight material that is twice as strong as aluminum and normally used in advanced aircraft design, the Notebook Series 9 underwent an exhaustive testing process to ensure it is durable enough for use at home and on the go.

The Samsung series 9 notebook that was launched in India in April 2011, is designed, manufactured and tested according to some of the strictest performance and environmental criteria in the world. That makes for a high performance product designed with the user in focus and one that also minimizes the impact on the climate and our natural environment.

Some of the key features that make the Samsung Series 9 Notebook one of the leading environmental standard Note-PC in the world include: Maximized recyclability and usage of material with specialized Duralumin; extremely low energy consumption both in idle and standby mode, reducing climate impact and the fact that both product and product packaging are designed for recycling with 80 % parts and materials being recyclable.
