Following the Wammy Passion Z and Z+, the new Wammy Passion X has quite is loaded with few new features. But overall design wise the Wammy Passion X looks exactly like its predecessor, the Wammy Passion Z or Z+. It’s based on an octa-core processor and has a full-HD screen, but the headline feature is its water-repellent “super-hydrophobic” coating, which the company claims makes the phone largely impervious to all kinds of liquids.
Features:
If we look into its features then we can say it has some decent amount of specs in this category. Apart from the water resistance feature this smartphone comes with a 5-inch IPS touch screen with DragonTrail scratch-resistant glass (1920×1080 px), powered with a 1.7GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6592 processor and 2GB RAM. It has a 16GB internal memory and supports microSD up to 64GB. The camera features a 13MP rear camera that is capable of capturing 1080p FullHD video recording and the 5MP front camera is able to record 720p HD video. The Passion X has Dual-SIM (GSM + GSM) capability and supports connectivity to 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4 GPS with A-GP. It has a 2500mAH battery and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Performance:
The Wammy Passion X is very light and we feels cheap. The build quality is not that great as the plastic material is of a low quality and back panel, for instance, does not seal tightly and you can see gaps. It uses capacitive touch buttons, making full use of its bezel, which is always good but in this case, there is no backlight for those buttons. So if you are using the phone after switching off the lights, you can’t see the buttons and will often press the wrong one. The 5-inch full HD display is crisp with rich colors and offers good viewing angles with scratch-resistant Dragontrail glass. The device runs pretty smooth in day to day task, we haven’t noticed any lag in games or in multitasking. The device is though pro to smudges. The key highlight of this device is its AquaProtect feature, which is a waterproof nanocoating that helps to protect the samrtphone from rain, coffee spills but its not that ultimate rugged phone. The 16GB of built-in memory is a good move by Wickedleak. Plus, you can always expand it via microSD. Camera is not that great in this Wammy Passion X, it is not for those people who are looking for quality images in any given scenario. The Passion X is fine when you are clicking photos outdoors in the day, but in low lighting condition the noise levels go up disproportionately. Taking photographs at night, even with the LED flash on, is not a good experience. Battery life of this device goes upto 12-13 hrs of day to day task and 8-9 hours in heavy usage.
Pros: Display, Performance, Battery life
Cons: Very light plastic body, pro to fingerprints
